everyone is saying Google SEO is dead but the numbers tell a different story according to Smart Toro Google handled 14 billion searches per day in 2024 a 21% increase from the previous year meanwhile chat gbt had just 37 million searches per day meaning Google still dominates with 373 times more Searchers than its closest competitor and as of today Google controls 93% of the search market share but here's the catch 6 60% of searches now end without a click that means most websites aren't seeing the benefits of Google's growth even worse 96% of web pages get zero organic search traffic according to ATR so why is that well there are two reasons number one Google surf features which are stealing clicks before they reach websites and number two poor SEO execution most sites aren't optimizing the right way so that's the bad news the good news is you can fix both of these issues let's Dive Right In so the first thing you want to do is analyze the serps and this is really important because we don't just want to think about how we can dominate from an organic perspective we also want to think about how we can dominate from a paid perspective and this is becomes particularly important when you work on the local level because there's a high amount of ads typically and so we want to be able to dominate each segment of the search results so in the case of HVAC you're often going to see local service ads so it's a no-brainer that you should be going after this section if you're an HVAC business or you're working with these types of businesses you should absolutely be advertising in here and then we should also attack the local pack and obviously the organic results as well now keep in mind we can rank our website here but we can also rank on Yelp we can also rank on Angie's List so the objective here is to try to rank in as many spots as we can actually on the first page of Google but in addition also these secondary search engines as well and so we want to try to occupy as much Ser real estate as we possibly can now I'm not going to focus a whole lot on the local pack in this particular training but just so you know in the local pack there's really only a few variables that really matter the most number one is your business name itself so you can tell the number one guy just happens to have Scottdale in the business name okay so that does have a huge influence on performance and in fact you look at the second guy who has nearly double actually has more than double the amount of reviews yet he's number two and that's because that one variable that Rel relance variable is so strong that it's hard to overcome it and so you know I'm not telling you you should go and just build a keyword Rich domain or a keyword Rich business name but it is very powerful now the second most important variable here is your actual physical address so you'll notice that the top ranking results are actually they actually have addresses in the in the location that they're going after okay that's really important uh and then number three the third most important variable is just the quality and quantity of reviews that you have so just get those three things right and you're going to be really doing super well but in general you should be looking at your competitors and then just trying to narrow the gap between you and the top competitors so that's the first part is we analyze a service we get a rough idea of what's going on and then what we want to do is now we're going to focus on building real localized topic Authority so here's how we need to do it so what I recommend doing is just going into rank abilities content Optimizer entering the keyword phrase and then make sure you search by City okay and this is going to give us the most relevant results possible this is very important because we want to make sure we're extracting from the competitors that are actually showing up when you conduct a search from Scottdale we know that'll be the most accurate so run that and then what we're going to do is not we're not even going to actually focus on this keyword quite yet what we want to do first is we're going to copy these keywords we're going to go to chat gbt and we're going to help we're going to use chat gbt to help us build a Content strategy right to build that localized relevance so with these seeds we can really start to build some good stuff so go over to chat gbt and you're going to use a very simple prompt like this you obviously just want to copy these keywords and you're going to say create supporting content ideas for the keyword phrase based on these NLP and then we're going to go down here and then just say make sure that each page has unique intent so then chat gbt will pump out a bunch of great ideas and you're going to see these are all different ideas with different intent so it is actually very different from AC repair to emergency AC AC repair someone who needs an emergency AC repair is in a much different state of mind compared to someone who just you know doesn't have an just has kind of a small repair that they need for their AC so totally different state of mind also much more transactional if it's the emergency so you need to have those pages segmented out and the main reason is actually you know SEO is a big part of it but another big reason is as a copywriter you need to be able to to go after the certain problems that we're trying to attack based on the intent of that topic so if someone is you know searching for AC repair in Scottdale or searching emergency repair in Scottsdale then we need to start hitting on some of these problems and ultimately trying to offer the solutions to these very specific problems so and the same thing with maintenance the same thing with you know heater repair and all these things each of these if they have if you have to write kind of different sales copy for it then there's also you know a situation where it likely does have different intent okay so it's very important now what you should do is you're going to use a sheet like this okay and I've already you know kind of filled this out a little bit but these are all the keywords and different topics and different pages that we need to build okay so the way this sheet works and if you want access just drop a comment below but but the way it works is essentially we're going to have the channel so you know owned rented earned paid we're going to have the platform that uh it's actually going to be published and then we're going to have the stage in what stage the customer cycle it is or what stage of the funnel that it is in okay and so the next part of this is also the topic so you can sort this by topic so that way you can actually identify the gaps that you have or you can see where you're really starting to build a lot of good uh topic Authority around a particular topic okay so what we want to do first is focus on our website we want to focus on our website get that squared away focus on the commercial Pages first because those are the most important pages and then we're going to work our way up the funnel so the next step here is to start building out these pages so what you want to do is go back into chat gbt and once again very simple prompts work really really well these days and so you'll see here go down what we're going to do is we're going to create an SEO content outline for the keyword using the NLP keywords again but there's one little Nuance here I want you to go to a business or you know if you're working on a business you would do it this way and we would just go ahead and paste this in and then we're just going to grab a random business so in this case we'll use uh we'll use these guys here and what you would do is you go to the about page and I go and I pretend like I'm going to print this so I just pretend like I'm going to print it and then I just save it as a PDF okay and then what you want to do is save as many pages as you possibly can about their brand so you get that really unique unique details about their specific brand and then you bring that back to chat gbt and you upload those PDFs so don't just run this prompt with the with the topics also run it with the unique characteristics of their business this is going to help you create like really really deep outlines and then you'll see here it will pump out a good outline for you and it will be pretty solid now I will show you just out of the gate sometimes it's not going to be perfect right so we're going to copy this over and we'll go ahead and paste this into rank ability and we'll see it's it's not going to it's not going to hit the ideal score that I would like for an outline okay because now we've got a bunch of keywords that are not being attacked here different topics and we have a lot of gaps here okay so what we want to do is we can actually sort this by unused and you can copy the unused keywords go back to chat gbt and now we're going to run that prompt again okay and we're going revise the outline so now what you're going to see is the difference with this just slight tweak here we're going to go ahead and see how much better this outline is all right so we're going to copy this over same almost an identical outline just with some slight tweaks here and we'll go ahead and run this one now and we should hopefully hit the ideal so now it's actually in a really good spot where we can take this outline and this isn't just your you know run-of-the-mill outline this is an outline that's very specific to this business it matches the intent of the keyword and it will likely convert really well because it's going to be highly relevant so this is what you want for a commercial keyword like this now at this point you can decide what you want to do you can take this outline and just go to the share button here and then enable sharing and you can copy this over and you can just send this link to a writer okay you send them over to the content Optimizer and they can just start writing this content based on the outline okay nothing wrong with that or you could just take this outline and then go back to chat te just say write the first draft for me we have found that both techniques work really well the only reason why I typically use a human writer these days is usually if the keyword is very competitive so the more competitive a keyword gets the more likely I'm going to use a human to write it but anything that's pretty low competition it's almost bordering foolish to not at least create a first draft with AI because it just works incredibly well um there's so much evidence of this that's what we want to do with all of these SEO driven assets you'll notice it's you know website SEO content the distinction here is that for it to be considered SEO content in my opinion is that it's targeting a specific topic or keyword phrase that's for me what I how I classify it compared to linkbait which we're going to talk about here in a second but the point is you're going to go through all these and build out all of these Pages first that is the key next thing you want to do is you can't just build these pages and then you know hope that we're going to perform well we also need to build website Authority so there I'll be showing you know few things you can do to actually drive links to the site but before you do that you got to think about what can you create that actually deserves backlinks so all of these types of pages they're critical for SEO and they're critical for driving conversions as well but they're not really good at acquiring backlinks these Pages they're not really designed for that and there are certain types of content models that are way better designed for link acquisition so good news is one once again good old chat gbt will make our life a lot easier so we go back into here and we're just going to run a very simple prompt and notice that I'm focusing on datadriven and statistic style link bait ideas okay these are the you know there's so many different angles by it we can do free calculators and all kinds of stuff but data driven and statistics driven is the best now this part is really important you want your supporting assets like this your linkable assets your let's call them informational assets you want to make sure that it's covering your core subject matter expertise and the city that you're attacking that's really important you got to have both of those together you don't just want it to be your subject matter expertise so for example um you know what is AC repair or what is HVAC that's about halfway right we want to make sure that it's focused though on the on specific ideas that are only relevant to that location so Scottdale is a very hot place to live so so it makes perfect sense that we would talk about this particular topic okay and you can see all the different topics that we outline here so what you want to do is take these the ones that are good and then add that to the sheet as well so I'll show you now we're going to have a nice blend of different topics just you know that very quickly we've already basically have 25 content ideas to build really really strong topic relevance okay and this is this is what you should do for every single website that you're working on every single keyword this this is what like if you do this you will be better than 95% of people that you're competing against um and so what you can do from here is you can actually take one of these topics so like you know best and worst months for AC repairs in Scottdale okay or we can talk about the true cost any of these actually here's a good one here so how long do AC units last in Scottdale okay so we can actually go into here and if you this is really Next Level stuff okay go to deep research and you can research this topic specific specifically okay and what it will do is it's going to grow you know crawl the whole internet and at least what's available and it's not blocked and it's going to do this deep research for you and so now what it's going to do is it's going to begin this deep research and once this research is done you're going to be able to use this data to build out a really nice formulated asset uh that will also you know you're going to have to go and create custom graphics and make it look nice but at the same time this is going to do all of that heavy lifting research that we use to have to do manually for linkbait but now you actually don't uh even have to do it now you may want to make sure the research is correct sometimes it can be a little sketchy and you got to make sure that it's legit but for the most part this is what you can do now to build this linkbait at scale um this honestly saves hundreds I'm not even kidding hundreds of hours when you start to multiply this across multiple campaigns it's incredible um to say the least okay and you can see how it starts to work it starts to do the research um I won't you know go go through this whole process but the point is this is this is what you can do okay so while this is you know going through this this little process here the next thing I want to do is we want to start to build lead magnet ideas okay so if we go back here and I show you kind of how this works is you know you can certainly do all this stuff right and we're focused more on the bottom of the funnel stuff so we're going to get this here that's going to drive some really solid leads but for the large majority of people that going to come in through let's say Middle top of funnel type of keywords we're going to want to get them on the email list and the best way to get some on your email list is not to just say free newsletter okay like it's much better to give them something tangible that they can actually use to achieve a particular outcome and this is the old technique that you know Frank Kern has talked about since you know I don't know two decades basically which is results in advance so if you can give someone results in advance they're going to know like and trust you right you're going to get a lot close to that to that end conversion so what we want to do here is we want to create some sort of lead magnet anywhere between one to three lead magnets you should create and test because the objective is first to build trust get them a a quick win and then we're going to use email marketing to achieve our final objective okay so once again if you're not familiar with creating lead magnets chat gbt can help you a lot okay so you go in here and just create a very simple prompt give me 10 lead Manet ideas that are specific to the keyword phrase once again and and the ones that I've have seen the best success with are kind of checklist uh type of lead magnets so I'll actually walk you through what this looks like okay so we'll go to my website and we'll go to my checklist so I have a little checklist here okay so free checklist someone enters their email and then they get access to this checklist now what happens though after this is really what really matters here okay so now what you're going to see here this is as soon as someone downloads that checklist they come to this page okay and this is really important that you have an offer as soon as someone downloads that free checklist because this is purely designed for what are called buyers and heat okay so anywhere between 1 to 3% of people at any given time are ready to act okay that means the other 97% of people are ready to do nothing okay that's why you need to get them on your email list because then you can remarket to them and build trust and get them to know like and trust you all that good stuff but for the ones that are ready to go you have to present them with an offer so this is the best way that I've been able to do it is I give them what they came for right this is what they what they requested I give them their free download and then I have a little video that just kind of explains the download and how they can use it and then at the end just a little pitch right just a little small pitch for the people that are ready and then you've got a little call to action down here okay simple as that not super complicated this does the job okay and you don't want to hard pitch here anyway you just want to be a real soft pitch because still people don't really know you quite yet and there's no reason to go super hard here but you can replicate this in any industry I'm doing it in the context of SEO but this exact checklist could be used specifically for HVAC as well right you could take the same exact formula and apply to HVAC you can apply to literally anything but there is a framework here that works well which is give them what they came for and then explain you know how to actually use that thing and then give them a small pitch don't you don't need to go for the throw here like I mentioned okay so that's the way you want to kind of structure that funnel it's really really important so once we have the commercial content we've got the link bait and we've got a lead magnet that's ready to go now we need to think out how do we build website Authority okay so there's a few ways to go about doing this number one is you can just Outsource okay and so I do recommend a service like digital. PR because what they can do is they can get you really powerful links some can go to your homepage but they can actually also build you out the content as well so they have reactive PR but if you go down here they actually have data PR it's kind of what I've been describing here and they'll actually go out and just build these assets for you and then they'll publish them on your website and then they'll drive links specifically to your website sometimes they'll publish that content on another website and then link to you as the source there's different ways that they'll go about doing it but the point is like they can build this stuff for you and so this is a really really good investment because doing link building is honestly almost like a full-time job it is really difficult to get links consistently it requires a lot of effort and a lot of time so Outsourcing this can really help accelerate that link profile growth because one of the most important ranking variables is the overall strength of your website okay so I highly recommend them just go to digital. PR to learn more and then the second thing that I recommend doing is tapping into your local area okay so I just showed you how to do the Deep research function and we'll see if this is still going here yeah it's still going we can use the Deep research function to actually help us do link prospecting okay so here's an example I just uploaded an sop this is from goio Academy it's what my team uses to do this but now we do it a lot faster because of deep research but basically we upload the SOP which just explains how to find these opportunities and then we uh then we ask chat gbt to do this deep research okay and it goes and it just you know within nine minutes whopping nine minutes it finds all of these great sponsorship opportunities and this normally like I've talked to my team many times to see how long this takes them and it can take 30 minutes an hour sometimes two hours to build out this list because you're not just building out the list you're not just finding the prospects but you also have to find out how much it costs you have to find contact information there's a lot more that goes into it and you have to qualify them to make sure they're even worth going after okay so there's so much that goes into this it can take many hours to get it right okay so and then you can see here once again I had to do it one more time and it's just beautiful beautiful prospects and you still got to go you know go through and make sure they're legit and all that stuff but you can do this and there's actually this is when I first started using deep research but one thing you can add to this is you can actually have chat gbt even find you the contact information so you can actually Reach Out directly as well so that means in about nine minutes this tool has made link prospecting so much easier so there's really no excuse at this point but this is these are the most important links you can get these localized links that are from Trust Ed entities these are just the strongest best links that you can that you can possibly get so I cannot recommend enough use a combination of you know Outsourcing the link acquisition doing there's many other link building techniques but I I show I have like an 80 page sop inside of goteso Academy with different link building techniques but you know just just just to get started you can Outsource and you can focus on these localized links because in a lot of cases you don't need a ton of links to rank you just need really good links okay so now this deep research for the linkbait is officially done so we can already tell this is great research because the average in the US is about 15 to 20 years but in Scottdale and Phoenix it's only about 10 to 15 years okay so there's already you know a variance here where we can talk about that in our datadriven piece of content okay and the Beautiful part about this does all this great research for you and it cites all of its sources so you're going to be able to link out to all these sources and you're going to become the source right and when you become The Source you're the one that gets all the links because you did all the heavy research you built out a great asset and then you're typically the one that's going to accumulate all those links so once again just an incredible way to scale out building these great assets and this is just for one little topic there's a million topics that you can go after but just use this deep research function to scale your link bait development and scale your link acquisition so that's all I have for today if you want to learn my complete SEO system system then I highly recommend applying for gacho Academy there is very limited spots and we are closing here in about 15 days the enrollment and then we we do open up every month but we do shut it down for a little bit and then reopen so if you don't apply before the deadline you're obviously going to have to wait to enroll but this program is the only program that you need to learn how to do SEO that actually works in this new AI world and this is like twice a week I jump on coaching calls and I help every single member in the program learn how to implement these new SEO systems that are actually working right now so just submit your free application and I look forward to reading it thanks again for watching
